Frequently asked questions

How do I restore my FuelShift Pro subscription?

Open FuelShift → tap the crown icon → tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom of the paywall. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID used at purchase.

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Media & Purchases
  2. Confirm the Apple ID matches the one you used to subscribe
  3. Return to FuelShift and tap Restore Purchases

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not FuelShift. Go to iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → FuelShift Pro → Cancel Subscription. You will keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.

I was charged but the app still shows the free tier.

This occasionally happens when the App Store is slow to propagate the purchase. Wait 2–3 minutes, then tap Restore Purchases inside the app. If the issue persists, contact us with your purchase date and an App Store receipt screenshot with any personal or payment details hidden.

Can I transfer my data to a new phone?

Yes. Use iPhone Backup (iCloud or iTunes) and restore it on your new device — FuelShift data is included. Alternatively, use Settings → Export Data inside the app to export a CSV, then import it on the new device.

How do I delete all my data?

Go to FuelShift → Settings → scroll to the bottom → Delete All Data. This removes all vehicles, entries, and settings from your device permanently. Uninstalling the app has the same effect.

The receipt scanner didn't read my receipt correctly.

Receipt OCR works best in good lighting with the receipt flat and fully in frame. After scanning, you can manually correct any field before saving. We are continuously improving accuracy — feedback is welcome.

Is my fuel data backed up?

Your data is stored on-device. If you have iCloud Backup enabled (Settings → your name → iCloud → iCloud Backup), app data is included in your device backup. FuelShift Pro users can also export data as a CSV from Settings.
